If you could return your DL degree and get all of your money back, would you?

Another question just for the sake of discussion: If you could go back in time and get all of your money back and also retrieve the time you invested, would you return your DL degree for a full refund? This applies to any DL BA, master's or doctoral degree.

I wouldn't; I'm proud of my DL master's degree and the teaching credential I earned mostly by DL.

I'm tempted to say that I would take the money back from Excelsior and put it into my BA from TESC + degrees beyond, but then I have to recognize that it is responsible for a rate increase for one of my contract agencies and a higher wage at my new employer. I also have to recognize that if it were not for EC, I would still have a bunch of random credits that mean nothing and look silly on a resume. Yes, it is just an AA and just in Liberal Arts, but I still look at the diploma from time to time and marvel at the ENORMOUS CHASM of a difference it is between having no degree in anything to having some degree in something. Imagine that eh? No matter how the world turns nor what happens to me, I have a degree. Cool!!!!!

I would take some time back, however. I would take back every single day that I spent researching degree programs rather than studying for more credits. I should have completed my BA within a year of gathering my transcripts and enrolling with EC. I should be halfway done with my MBA by now. I should be... finishing the next chapter in my Abnormal Psychology book. Good night.

Yes - I wish that I could have my time and money back from my time spent at NCU in the DBA program. I left the DBA program right before the comps. and was awarded an MBA in Homeland Security. However, it was not a total loss for me - I received 6 credits in transfer towards my DPA at Valdosta and 6 credits towards my MS at Jacksonville State. The main reason is that I have an MBA from NCU that I do not list in my credentials because it is far from a true MBA.

I would reclaim all the money and time from various aborted doctoral attempts, but my Bachelor's and Master's degrees were time and money well spent.

Yes. I now have a clearer educational objective, and I could do without my recently-earned MA. I would have simply gone straight into the MA in Teaching.

If turning back time was the option as well as seeing the future - yes. I turn turn in my NCU PhD and go for the DBA from Nova.

If I could have seen into the future, I would have started on this current venture much earlier in life than I have.

And been many thousands of dollars in debt. Are you sure?

That is something I can answer...in 5 years or so. My crystal ball is in the shop.

I would take the time and money invested in attending Excelsior and TESC and enroll in U of Wyoming's on-line BBA program. I'm glad that my TESC degree got me into a B&M RA/AACSB accredited MS program but without having that credential from a tier-1 national university on my resume I feel like something is... lacking.

    Nope. I wouldn't change anything.

Yep. I would have chosen a Masters from a B&M school over an online school.

What if you could get the same degree for the same price from a B&M school vice the one you got from an online school?

As tempted as I am to say "yes" and then apply that money and time to another MBA program I really cannot complain. I make more money, have a better job, a better life in general in large part due to the MBA I earned from Ashford. So I guess the answer is "no" even though the idea of a "redo" is fun.

Oops, edit. I would take off my AA in General Education from TESC. Total waste of $450

Knowing what I know now, I'd totally want my money back for my MS from Walden. Don't get me wrong. I LOVED my program. The thing is, a Masters in Ed just doesn't do anything. True it let's me teach online courses for UoP, but I wished I have known about WNMU's program earlier. I would've done that first, and then I could've done an EdS.

Nope :) I was happy with my experience at Ottawa University and feel the price I paid was money well spent because 1. I wanted the shorter terms and 2. I feel that I grew while attending there.

Yes. I would return my AS from Excelsior. It was a nice milestone, but did nothing for me otherwise, and I earned my BS a year later.
