    Hi Tommy

Did you have a question about this institution? If you read the accreditation page it smells, sounds and looks like a degree mill. It does do a nice job of throwing well written but meaningless information out to confuse potential students. Again if you have questions please let us know. Thanks.

My take on such schools is that everytime I catch them lying, I trust them less. Yes, I know I have a bad attitude about such things.

On their website, under accreditation, they say,

"Few colleges or universities recognize credits earned at other institutions. This goes for traditional colleges, such as Harvard or Yale, as well as non-traditional colleges like Almeda. Therefore, if you wish to use your Almeda degree as the basis for further education or transfer your Almeda credits to another educational institution, we encourage you to contact that institution before pursuing your degree at Almeda to see what their policy is on this matter."

It's just not true. Yes, they may not accept everything, but the majority of credits will transfer between schools. One of the reasons why they have that whole regional accreditation thing.

    The search engine works!

After a year with a quirky search engine, this forum now has a fine one. Five earlier threads on Almeda, for instance.

What a load of crap. I know from personal experience that Harvard will accept at least some credits from other RA schools. I took 2 summer courses at the RA 2-year college where I earned my A.S. degree, and there was a Harvard student (regular Harvard, not Extension or otherwise) in both my classes.

He was a non-scholarship kid trying to save his parents a few bucks, and him some time. He told me that Harvard would accept credits from other RA schools, though there was a cap on the number (which I forget).
