Rushmore University would likely be a very poor choice for you (or any sentient being). They have no recognized accreditation and, while they have been mentioned numerous times here, rarely has anything good been said.

For MBAs, it would be best to stick to either a regionally-accredited (RA) university or a foreign university (of which there are many). For speed, *if* you are a tremendously good studier and test-taker, Heriot Watt in the UK is a good choice.

If you do a search here, you'll find a dozen or more threads on Rushmore, none of them flattering.

One post has links to the work done by a Rushmore students in working toward his degree. The analysis of the material he was reading was almost nonexistent, and the major elements incorrect, but he nevertheless received a comment that his paper was perfectly acceptable.

Additionally, one of the papers had a comment from the reviewing professor that he "had no knowledge in that area"... and the area in question was one that was relatively basic, such as operations management or something.

It's safe to say that the school is a complete joke. Don't waste your time. There are a gazillion quality MBA programs, but Rushmore is not one of them.

    Hi,
Thanks for your information. I found all other forum about degree courses very useful. You ppl are doing a very good job.
:D Another area I am looking at is Masters in Education /Master in IT as well. Please give your advise. Any advise about Masters at reasonable and quicker pace is appreciated.

    Thanks

    :)

Try the California State University System; they offer several such degrees, without, I think any or much residency. CSU is not too expensive.

Also take a close look at the Austalian schools. Many (if not most) have a DL component often with specific singapore focus (local contacts, other students, etc.)

I can see that others have given you the same advice i would. However, I would like to add to their voices, and provide some other information.

If you are going for an MBA, IMHO, a school with Regional Accreditation is the best choice (and I would argue the only choice) . You can find good MBA programs that rival the non-RAs pricewise, and you will not need to explain or defend your choice.

Also, in looking at any school's web site, consider the language they use around accreditation. Rushmore has a long and convoluted explanation of why they are not accredited. Other accreditation pages run from, "We are not Regionally Accredited and if that is what you want, look elsewhere" (which is an acceptable statement), to rants of how accreditation is holding back innovation and is the root of all evil and unnecessary for finding a job, (amusing, but not useful, accurate, or acceptable, particularly for people not familiar with the US education system).

You are spending a lot of money- and time- in going for a degree. Make sure you get the most bang for your buck!
