I just applied at TESC to complete my BS in Business Administration with Accounting as my area of concentration. After looking at the class schedules, I noticed that no classes higher (300 or 400) level accounting classes were offered. I contacted TESC and they informed me that I would need to take the course at another college and then transferr the credit back to TESC. I could take the courses at a local community college or university. On a economic basis, I would like to take the courses at our local communiity college ($68/CrHr vs. $174 at UoMD, or $400 at UoP.) The college has a good reputation and offers an Accounting Certificate the is used by non-accounting degree bearing students preparing to sit for the CPA Exam. Beyond economics, the question is, how would this affect my chances of getting into a Masters Program? Thanks for your advice . . . . RNFreyJr.
