I would like to take a GRE General Exam......do I need to take the writing assessment one as well for credit at Excelsior?

I'm sure I can find this somewhere, I'm just looking for a quick answer and I'm going to search all night anyway.

    Hi NYMedic

It is not clear why you want to take the GRE general exam. If you mean for credit then I think you are wasting your time. None of the regular DL schools grant any credit for it. You can take all of the CLEP, DANTE, and GRE subject tests for credit. I would check out both Lawrie's and Excelsior's site for more info. Good luck.

    Hi NYMedic

Check out Lawrie's web site. It is quite a treasure. The GRE General exam is a test that some grad schools require for admission. The GRE subject tests are also required by some grad schools but are in specific areas (ie Psychology, Computer Science, etc.). Again check out Lawries site and I think it will be clearer. Good luck.

I'm guessing he meant that he wants to take a GRE subject exam, rather than the general GRE exam.
