Wondering if any of you would know about any arts management, entertainment or events related distance learning master programs.

I have researched a bit, and I found a Master in Arts & Entertainment Management, at Deakin University at Melbourne, Australia, however, they do not offer DL. They offer a Graduate certificate on that course instead.

I really hope I could take up a course in regards to these fields, while I am working. If a master program is unavailable, some other sort of diploma or certificates are okay as well.

    Thank you all!~

The first thing that comes to mind is that there's an online MBA program in Hospitality Management which, I guess, is closlely related. Maybe I can remember which school . . .

    Check Strayer and Drexel.

Thx for your reply Kizmet! I'll look into it once I have time.

However, it would be best if I could get something arts or entertainments related, or events.

I am currently working for Conventions and Exhibitions, and really and type of masters that can help my career will do too.

Thanks for your reply. Does it mean it's not internationally recognized?

    Hi Dridri,

The United States has a very odd system of accreditation, the US has regional and national accreditation. For more information see this link:

Higher education accreditation in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Having said that, regional accreditation is considered the gold standard in the US. However, this does not mean that nationally accredited schools offer a sub-par education, quite the contrary, many of them are excellent. Ex: Cal Coas and Aspen University come to mind. These two schools are nationally accredited, they offer great education at a great value and their degrees are recognized by the US Department of Education as valid degrees. As with any degree, it is up to your country of residency to see if they accept such degrees or not. In short, a nationally accredited degree is a valid one here in the US, and elsewhere. Sorry for my long-winded answer, hope this helps, if not, I'm sure many members here will point you in the right direction.

before seeing Koolcypher's answer i was also going to suggest Full Sail's (FS) Entertainment Master's online program- it's the only one I'm aware of. And FS is well known for entertainment. I'm considering getting that degree or their Internet Marketing degree.

The good/ bad thing is that the degree consists of 12 4 week long classes, which allows you to get the degree in only 1 year. bad news is that you have to devote 20-30 hr/week.

have you decided on a program?
what do you wish to do w/ it career-wise?
