Would sociology be in the same boat with English and History regarding job openings as college instructors? Or would sociology be more in demand?

Thanks Ted. Just looking for ways to make myself more marketable -- if there is any way with the liberal arts.

Psychology is 'closed mind'. One has to get on their 'wavelength' and 'humour' them.
Sociology should be more broad-minded (open minded). The main problem to get over is "evolution of species" - but don't give up.

There are TONS of positions at Virginia Community College for Public Speaking instructors. I've been tempted to get 18 hours in Communication, since I minored in it as an undergrad.
