These are 2 posts from a different forum board and I figured I would be able to get some good info from you guys. Please take a look and let m know your thoughts:

Wow; is all I have to say at this point, lol.

So I have tossed around several ideas and have been doing a little investigation. Testing out of a degree, not really possible for me at this time. SO I am now at a point where I have to look for the cheaper, easier, quicker, and more professionally beneficial route for myself.
I have scratched the RN/ADN plan and was looking at a BSLS from TESC, but not too sure that is a good way to go either.

Here is what I am looking at/for:

    1. All online classes
    2. Willing to take some ECE/EEXCEL tests. - Will take some CLEP/Dantes, just not sure when & how many.
    3. Need to utilize FEMA & NFA to their fullest
    4. Staying away from math specific courses, as much as possible(hate it).
    5. Want to incorporate around 18 safety credits from San Juan college(online in the future).
    6. Want to include some HR/buisness/personnel development/organizational/adult teaching courses in the degree plan.

My goal is a desk or desk/field mix in the safety/training/HR dept of international oil & gas companies. I have 10 years experience in this field but need the piece of paper to make it to the next level.

I have started some ALAEK & SL, thinking of Seminary Extension and a few other random online & cheap classes. Thinking about doing a language, most likely "Spanish Hour". I plan on starting some online classes next month(hopefully).

So fire away, I need all the input I can get so I can start developing a workable degree plan. I definitely need a bachelors degree. You guys are great and extremely knowledgable, so I am reaching out for as much help as possible on this one. I am willing to do some legwork/investigation - just point me in the right direction.

After a little checking, I can almost complete an Associates in Emergency Management with just FEMA(each IS-### actually will equate to one specific college course) and a few other gen ed classes mostly comprised of SL, ALEK, and a few online classes. I think this will be the first goal.

Also I can take 18 credits worth of safety classes online and obtain a Certificate in Safety, which isn't too shabby, to go along wiht my associates. This could also possibly mix into another Asociates if I combine courses from the EM degree.

I guess what I am asking, anyone have any idea on how I can piece those 2 items together and make a BS/BA out of it?

I was hoping to get some more courses from PF, Clovis, Clakamas, San Juan, SE, etc that have really cheap, online, out-of-state, per credit, courses. Like I said ealier - I can't really follow the testing out plan(except ECE, UEXCEL) so I need to go with the route of cheap online courses.

Any other suggestions/ideas for credit and classes OR thoughts on what I might be missing?

    For CLEP and DSST:
CLEP has test centers in the UAE and other nearby countries

    CLEP Test Center Search Results

DSST has test centers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and in other nearby countries.

    DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com

The most flexible DL BS degree is the Excelsior College BSLS - it allows you to apply up to 59 semester units of professional courses. (I'm not sure if EC accepts FEMA courses - perhaps others can comment).

Not directly. EC will accept them if you get them transcripted by another college, which requires a fee to be paid to the college (I believe the lowest fee is $40/credit). TESC, on the other hand, accept them completely free.
