    Hey gang!

Yeah, I know I finished up at Walden back in 2008, but now that I'm almost done with WNMU, I started thinking. I was originally looking at trying to go to WNMU for commencement, but after realizing it's in the middle of BFE and would cost an arm and a leg to get there, my wife suggested I get something more permanent like a diploma frame. That was an easy find. Then I started wondering about Walden. I already have a frame from CNU, and if I got one for WNMU, then I should logically have one for Walden too. Thus my problem arises.

I can't for the life of me find the damn thing. I can find Walden apparel and stuff, but no frames. When I google it, I get a bunch of commercial sites which are rather generic. Do any of you who are Walden students or alumni know how to find these? I'd like a car decal too, but I can't find that either.

I didn't bother with frames. Just stick some velcro to the back of the case/book/folio/thing that the degree comes in and mount it to the wall like that. I think it looks nice, and it shows off your school colors, too

No frames for me either. I feel a certain sense of smug satisfaction tinged with a little sadness about where my degrees are: In the original plastic/faux leather binders they came in, stored in a foot locker down in the basement.

Mine are also in their original folders and filed away in my garage. I see very few diplomas hung in aerospace engineering workplaces.

However I do have an ERAU license plate surround.

I've used Diploma Frames and Certificate Frames - University Frames for my UF diplomas. They turned out very well, but they are your typical "Gators" themed frames.

For the Heriot-Watt diploma, while I was in Edinburgh, I bought a very nice pencil drawing of the castle and surrounding buildings from a local artist. I took the drawing and the diploma to a local custom framing place, and they put together the diploma frame for me. It is unique and very nice. Other students have done similar things with photos they have taken of the university, the city, etc.

Maybe you can do something similar with Walden?

I had custom ones done for mine at a place back home in Charleston. My family has been taking stuff to this place for years and its actually cheaper to go there than to buy a school frame then pay someone to frame it. In my opinion the custom job looks much nicer than the frames they offer at Auburn and Vanderbilt. I think grand total for both was a little over $300.

Actually, no, I hadn't seen that one. Interesting diploma too, considering Walden doesn't have a PhD in Biology. :naughty:

Considering that most spend tens of thousands of dollars getting the diploma, what's another $300 to put it in a really nice frame?

$300 is how much I spent on my first 42 credits.

Wow. I just did the math and $300 covered my first .42 credits. Even less if you count fees! :(

Your registration fee for the next one?

Seriously....how about $10 for the frame at Wallyworld, and $290 for the famine relief organization of your choice?

I hung my Bachelor's diploma in my bathroom...it's where I do most of my best thinking. A sort of "hallowed hall", if you will....
