This is directed to anyone who has completed courses at TUI.

My first course opens tomorrow. I am wondering if any of you have developed a good time management and schedule for completing your courses and all the assignments and writings. What I am trying to avoid is habitual procrastination. (To which I am prone) What does work well for me, at least in work, is having the steps/tasks pop up on my Outlook each day.

Basically, just wondering if you have set up your calendar/tasks lists in such a manner where it will prompt you to complete the various steps orderly.....for example, Week 1, Day 1 - Read Module or Read Syllabus, Week 1 - Day 2 Review Recommended readings, Week 1 - Day 3 - Participate in Threaded Discussion, Week 1 - Day 4 Write Session Long Project, etc, etc.

Not sure if this makese sense, so any other suggestions for time management are welcome.

    Thanks.

I was taking two classes at a time at some points and here is what I did-
First - read the assignments (Case and SLP)
Week 1 - read all the background material and respond to the threaded discussion. Also start to jot down information from the readings that can be incorporated into the Case and SLP.
Week 2 / day 2 or 3 - complete the Case and post a comment / question to the threaded discussion
Week 2 / day 3 or 5 complete the SLP
The last two days of the 2 week block is a great time to get a jump start on the next modules readings.

You will start to pick up speed as you do this and end up finishing a class in 8 weeks or so rather then the 12 they give. For the MS-ITM I was completing two classes per semester adn for the MBA I was knocking out the marketing classes in 6-8 weeks because I really found them interesting.

    Hope this helps.
    MS - ITM - Touro University International - 2004
MBA - Marketing - Trident University - currently on my next to last class / 2011
