    Hi Folks,

This is my first post. I am very unhappy after my first year at Walden University Online. There is no admissions process and as a result, the majority of the students can bearly put together a comprehensible sentence in English (even in the 2000 level classes). As you can imagine (or as you have experienced yourself), this makes the discussions border on the ridiculous. I'm interested in psychology and philosophy and am hoping that someone could point me in the direction of an good online program with a serious admissions policy. I don't need a major in PSYC or PHIL. A general Bachelor of Arts with a good concentration in these two would be fine.

Also, are there any online degrees in French?

    Thanks for your time!

    Peter

The degree in French is currently only offered by oversea, UK and Aussie Schools. If you're going for Bachelor and Master levels; I would recommend you stay with schools that have B&M campus. Unless you go for Doctorate, which is limited offer...then use solely distance learning institution.

Major56 has pointed out some rigor program; Penn State is not a joke, you need proctor for all exams. I have proctored for several students at Penn State.

University of Illinois - Springfield has an online BA Philosophy. Reading their site indicates that it is a very competitive program so I assume the standards are much higher than what you found at Walden. They only accept 25 new students per year. Admissions are made in Spring & Fall. Link: UIS Philosophy
