I see members ask questions all the time about where to go to school and often wonder where they ended up going. So I thought I would post here to find out what everyone is up to and how you’re progressing in the degree you selected.

    As for myself…..

I finished my Associates in Criminal Justice from Andrew Jackson University. I will finish my Associates in General Studies from Clovis CC this summer and I plan to move on to AMU for their BS in Psychology.

Finishing up an MA (Biola), and already thinking about more school. Depending on the next school and their perception of my MA, it could be another master's or else on to a doctoral thesis. BUT I'm just at the thinking stage on that one....

I am finishing my MBA from TUI (one accounting class and a capstone left) and on the fence about a few options. I am looking at:

Florida State College - Accounting Certificate - It is a subject I struggle with and a deeper understanding can only be valuable

University of West Florida - Graduate Certificate in Human Performance Technology - good school with a good name and a practical certificate that seems more application based (they give you tools amd measures to improve organizational performance)

University of West Florida - M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Education & Training Management - can roll into this from the certificate and an MEd is different from past studies

St Petersburg College - Certificate in Non Profit Management – non credit / continuing education and a good complement to what I have done already

Of course, now that I am not working on my PhD, I am much happier and enjoying my free time. I will probably just take some 1-2 day courses at USF like the recent Lean Sigma class I took. It is quick, not to demanding, informative, and looks good on a resume. Whatever I do choose, I will not do anything until the fall of 2011 and enjoy a break to regroup and give it some serious thought and it will be from a school beyond reproach. Honestly, I think I am done.

Encouraged by the wave of people here who are continually pursuing *something*, I'm already looking at programs to attend once I get established in a full-time, permanent job in my new city and establish state residency.

Among the distance options I'm looking at, that allow out-of-state students to pay in-state tuition, include:

    MBA, University of North Dakota
MS, Operations Management, University of Alabama
MPA, University of Illinois - Springfield
MS, Computer Science, University of Illinois - Springfield

Some in-state options, requiring residency, include:

    MBA, University of North Texas
MBA, University of Houston - Clear Lake (right up the road from my house)
    MBA, Texas A&M - Commerce
    MBA, University of Houston

I'm also thinking of attending a local, CAHIM-approved HIM program to pursue their RHIT, and possibly eventually their RHIA, certifications.

In the meantime I'm just trying to take it easy and knock out some mid-level IT certifications. Would like to obtain the ITIL v.3 Foundations and MCITP:SA or EA certs before jumping balls first into another academic program.

Workingtoward my Ed.M here at Harvard. Looking to begin the johns Hopkins MA in Applied Economics, it will be my first foray into a program done completely via distance (I was going to start a class this spring term, but decided I should hold off until this summer).

I'm almost done with an MS in Space Studies (Aerospace Science) through AMU. I've completed all the coursework and just need to do the capstone, but there is the small problem of them not having the capstone scheduled! Trying to navigate the APUS bureaucracy and get someone to open a section for March.

After that degree I plan on going for a grad cert in Information Systems Security, also through AMU. I might also take a few undergrad DL courses through LSU or BYU when I have time.

    Great job everyone!

I'll finish my MS in management with UMUC this summer, and afterward I'm hoping to work on a masters in engineering or mathematics. I'm not sure what degree or program just yet. Still looking for the right fit...

I will have my bachelors in management from APUS in a month! I will take a few months off then start on my masters program in the summer. I'm looking at the online MBA or MSM thru TAMU Commerce, or MBA thru TAMU San Antonio.

I have 7 weeks in before I get my BA in human services. After that I was planning to attend Wilmington University for my Masters in Administration of justice, however I am still searching for the perfect program and I do not appreciate that it has been 2 weeks and 3 phone calls/voicemails with no reply from the department that I actually need to speak to.

At this point I am still considering all of these Masters programs

    Professional Counseling
    Social Work
    MPA
    Criminal Justice
    MAIS
Legal Studies (as I am considering law school and thought this might be a good first step to see if I would enjoy it as a full time job)

    It so hard to decide!

For a long time I was considering doing another master's degree (with a thesis this time) as a pathway to a PhD (or ThD etc) in order to teach. For now at least, however, I have decided to not apply to any programs. I'm not sure that the world needs more humanities profs. ;) This decision was helped by these forums, which informed me of the realities of teaching in the humanities disciplines.

I will continue to study and learn on my own, possibly take a course here or there, or earn a certificate or two. :)

After a much needed long break when I complete my VSU DPA, I am interested in any of the following programs:
    - Master of Infrastructure Planning and Management (MIPM) - University of Washington.
    - Master of Public Health - University of Washington.
    - Master of Emergency Services Administration - George Washington University.

I fully realize I do not need any of these degrees. Employer provided TA and the fact that I work with these subjects every day and I need professional CE for certifications may make them workable for me. I would like to add a Masters degree from a Tier 1 National Univeristy to my CV.

I recently seriously considered applying to a professional health program (e.g. medicine, dentistry, optometry, etc...), however, reality set in and I realized that I couldn't put my family through four years of grief (the biggest issue being loss of income). So, I am now considering a second bachelors, this time in radiation therapy or medical dosimetry. Both programs are offered by Thomas Jefferson University in an accelerated 12-month on-campus format.

I need to complete a number of science/math prerequisites before applying to either program, so I just enrolled in an online medical terminology course through my local CC and I am about to enroll in an online anatomy course offered through University of New England - College of Osteopathic Medicine. After that will be medical physiology, 1-2 physics courses two math CLEP exams and then hopefully admission!

16 weeks left til I'm holding the MBA from UMass-Amherst.
28 days left til I take the LSAT.

From there it's really about what I feel like doing. I'm looking at Suffolk University's JD program. From there I have two tracks.

    Track 1
    LLM
    SJD

    Track 2
    Thunderbird MGM
    Ph.D Business Strategy

Of course there's always Track 3.

Europe for six months, then a two year moratorium on school til I commit to finishing a black belt in the martial style of my choice.

I finished my A.A. in Social & Behavioral Science at the Santa Rosa Junior College, and I am currently at Union Institute & University taking their B.S. program in Emergency Services Management at their Sacramento satellite campus. (Hybrid Program)

After I finish my Bachelors, I will probably take some time off in order to pay off my student loans. After which, I haven't decided if I'm going to peruse a M.S. in Public Administration at the University of San Francisco, or enroll in flight school to get my commercial helicopter license. I haven't decided which course I'm going to take. . .
