My husband is British, I'm American, and we live in neither of our home countries but in Asia. My husband has the American equivalant of an Associates Degree in Art & Photography and he wants to complete his degree but needs to do it online.

We were looking at one school in the States but it was super expensive and because he does not intend on becoming a US citizen, does not have a visa or green card with the US he does not quilify for financial aide.

SO we are trying to find an institute in Britain that would perhaps take his credits he earned in the Associates Degree in the UK and allow him to complete his degree but online. Do you all know of any institutes that allow you to do this that are located in Britain but via online?

Possible, but it depends how old the degree is. The Open University only takes the credits if the Associates degree was granted 2008 or later. See: Credit Transfer - Your previous study - Americas and Caribbean - USA - Associate degree (2 years) (2008 onwards)
120 British credits are equivalent to one year of higher education, or 30 US credits, so they take only 50 percent of his credits. "Old" Associates degrees, however (up to 2007), are virtually worthless at the OU, see: Credit Transfer - Your previous study - Americas and Caribbean - USA - Associate degree ( up to 2007).

He could obtain a degree from a US school such as Excelsior - he would have his academic credentials evaluated by a evaluations service. He could earn credit by taking CLEP and DSST exams at Asian test centers. It could be a lower cost approach than pursuing a UK degree.

This site may offer a professional qualification in photography

A totally different option , unfortunately no photography component, would to earn a degree from the UofL

This transfer limitation seemingly only applies to previous studies outside the UK. Per the poster, “My husband is British, I'm American, and we live in neither of our home countries but in Asia. My husband has the American equivalent of an Associate’s Degree in Art & Photography and he wants to complete his degree but needs to do it online.” I made the assumption that as a British citizen the older qualification was UK(?).

OU transfer policy (re from UK and RoI degree-awarding bodies) is different for prior completed coursework, e.g. Successfully completed undergraduate level study undertaken from 1971.

We tried that avenue, the problem is you have to be presently living in the UK to attend Open University and like I said we are in Asia :-(
