I heard/read nothing for many months about the class action suit that a big time Wyoming law firm (ex governor on staff) was pursuing. I wonder if anyone who is either follows this, or is a class member, has any information. (Thanks.)

[Our publisher, Prometheus, wants a revised/expanded edition
of our book "Degree Mills." That'll keep me from watching the
Oprah network in this new year.]

Unfortunately, I do not have any info on K-W/WNU, but I am excited to hear about the new edition of "Degree Mills" (the standard work on the subject). A few years ago, Allen Ezell and I talked about me helping to produce a companion DVD for the book. If you still desire to do something like that or need other assistance, I would be happy to help.

I am curious what should I do with the diploma that I have received from this school in 2007??? If there is any Kennedy-Western University / Warren National University Alumni out there, do you still put this "Education" gained on your resume or CV? Please let me know. Thanks. And I saw an article from WNU that Preston University will accept credits from WNU?? Is this true??

I personally wouldn't list it on my resume / CV. Education from a nefarious DL institution, in almost any given situation, is worse than no education at all. I think Preston, also a nefarious institution, was providing transcript services for a while for WNU / KWU allumni, but from my understanding this tie has been severed. At one point Grand Canyon U was accepting credits of previous students on a case-by-case basis, but I believe this is also no longer the case.

So pretty much 2 years worth of the "study", thesis and $8,000 has poured down to the drain?? :-( Based on the article posted by Shawn, we have no hope to get our money back ever?? Urgh.... Should just go for the traditional school instead!!! :-(

Hate to say it, but you're pretty much screwed. I would not list WNU/KWU on a resume under any circumstances.

What we may have here is a simple conflict of interests, hopes and dreams. On the one hand we have the interest of an individual that wants to better him/herself through education versus the dream of someone wanting to get rich by scamming people out of money.

Perhaps you could consider your tuition a donation to the retirement fund of an unscrupulously successful individual? Allowing him to retire rather well to do, I suspect.

Wait on second thought, you need and deserve the money more. So a better idea might be to do a little voodoo research and put a hex on a certain unscrupulously successful individual.
