If your research topic is anything related to the military, you might want to consider presenting at the Inter University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society International Conference in October 2011 in Chicago:

Note - undergraduate students have presented at this conference! And for the doctoral crowd, if you need an outside reader for your dissertation, I'll bet you could find one there!
