I don't think there is any true plagiarism checker. In most cases, papers are uploaded either by the student or instructor to Turnitin. Last semester, I started using WriteCheck because it allows you to see what the Turnitin Originality Report score is and what changes to make prior to submitting your work. I personally like WriteCheck because you are getting instant feedback on your score. I purchased the Volume page for $49.95, so it only costs about $1.25 per paper check, which is not bad if you want to make sure you keep your score under 20%. Also, the feedback that I receive is great because it shows me areas that I need to re-write and get the score lower.

I am a WriteCheck customer too and found it a very helpful service.

Somehow I am skeptical about free services. You don't really know what they are going to do with the submitted content...

you guys should be careful with plag checkers, as some of them cannot provide you with 100% accuracy and confidence about originality of you work. Use only trusted software that have official partnership with popular search engines(Google and Bing for example). Unplag.com is the most accurate service at the moment, as it scans through 16000000000 pages and document within 4 seconds only.

It is the only software that found similarities in my dissertation and that’s why I am inclined to trust them.
