  1. A search of DETC's databases gives us 6 universities that offer doctorates:

    Aspen University
    California Intercontinental University
    California Southern University
College of the Humanities and Sciences Harrison Middleton University
    Henley-Putnam University
    William Howard Taft University

I recently posted about the upcoming University of Philosophical Research doctorate. Anyone know of any other DETC accredited doctorates that are from schools not listed above or (more interestingly) do you know of any upcoming doctoral programs?

    Here comes's a rant!!

University of Atlanta was the worst mistake of my life. I signed up and started taking classes with them and stopped after my first semester. I filed a complaint with the DETC and the USDE. I almost never wanted to take another class online after the way I was treated by this school, which is full of the former mill, Barrington University employees. I had an instructor who has a bachelors and a master’s from the school when it had not even been in operation but a few years. I soon found out the seller made an arrangement with the buyer to allow current students to pick which school they received their degree from. Also any replacement degrees from Barrington will have U of A on them. Also the staff from the mill was retained in the arrangement. Every time I see some one post the schools name I feel compelled to RAGE so the public knows how much they suck.

DETC has not been particularly good at maintaining its website. Last year, there was conflicting information about the types of degrees that it was and was not authorized to accredit.

Hi b4 - I'm sorry for those troubles. However, there's two things I have to say.

    1) As rants go yours is pretty tame. No emoticons? No $%@*!^#$& expletives?
    2) If a one semester delay in your college education was the biggest mistake in your life then I think you're winning the game. At least you're ahead of me.:flowers1:
