I was accepted to Lamar and now I have been doing some looking to find some reviews and have had no luck. Anyone have any input on them? The reason I'm going to attend is the $450 a class rate, it's a state university, they take NA credit, and it’s all online. Anyone heard anything bad about them?

Just to add one thing, I'm only a few hours away so there would never be any questions about the degree.

My dad attended there in 1958 ( he eventually graduated from UH in 1968...lol)....I have been to their library in 1980 ( 9 story building).....they are playing football for the first time in a long time...they are in the Southland Conference....their mascot is the Cardinal...

Currently, Lamar University offers 4-different bachelor degrees that can be completed via online studies (e.g., BAAS, BSCS, BGS, and BSIT). Lamar is a member of The Texas State University System www.tsus.edu/" (Sam Houston State, Sul Ross State, and Texas State University). Lamar is accredited by SACS and its College of business also holds AACSB accreditation. Lamar has a solid reputation in Texas with a very competitive tuition rate for Texas residents.

The best to you with your Lamar endeavor.

Yes, I have heard plenty of bad about Lamar. For example, they are too inexpensive, have an unfortunately great reputation and are unbearably flexible in their transfer policy.

Ok, ok, the real negatives are that they only offer a few degrees, and they charge out-of-state tuition for those who live outside of Texas. This means they are not the school for me, but it looks like they are the perfect school for you.

By the way, do my eyes deceive? Did you actually FINISH your degree with Nations?

Yes I did MC! Lamars out of state rate is only like $12 more a credit hour, so it might be for you ;)
