When all is said and done, when you have achieved your dream degree(s), would you consider taking a class or two in the future purely for self-enrichment? Or once you're done are you *done*?
I continue to take classes to expand my knowledge - some are for credit and some are non-credit. I also attend many one night lectures though my local universities, libraries or natural history associations.
There's so much you can do/learn in the open courseware environments that I can't see paying to take a class if you're not working toward a degree/cert.
After my degree, I will continue focus heavily on my education. Therefore, I will not have time for school.
I will continue to take classes somewhere. I love the UC Irvine extension classes and can see myself completing a couple of certificates through them (web intelligence, SEO, social media, and web design). If I'm spending enough money for a class, I want credits for it. A good cheap JUCO is also another option.
If an employer is offering tuition assistance it's dumb not to take advantage of it at some point to make yourself more valuable to them and your next employer. I will probably continue to pursue classes part time, those that align with professional certifications mainly, and the occasional certificate program maybe. Don't think I'll be pursuing another degree of any type for a while.
Yep! I will probably continue to seek our various certificates etc that I feel would pertain to my career path. I just wont be so concerned with doing it fast or all the time like I am now
As long as my employer is paying for i, I'll use it. Primarily certificates after this....unless I convince myself I REALLY need that Ed.D.
