Does anybody in here attend or know someone attend Lancaster University's Ph.D in Management via oversea part-time? If so, can you share the experience? As I have chosen Capella University to start my Ph.D in Management, but still opposing the idea with institution without B&M campus.

    Thanks.

I don't know much about the school, but it's AACSB, which is pretty impressive. I would think that fact alone would make it more desirable than Capella.

Well just in case anybody interests in the program. Here is what I got from the program coordinator.

    "Dear Henry,
Thankyou for your enquiry about PhD study at Lancaster University Management School. We do offer a part time mode of study for PhD students. We usually ask that part time students could visit the campus once per term (three times per year) to meet with supervisors, visit the library and attend research training seminars. However, the exact amount of time part time students do spend on campus does vary and is something that would need to be discussed with a potential supervisor once an application has been submitted. We can register part time students at any time in the year and the minimum registration period is 4 years.
We do offer lots of research training courses which run at different times of the year for varying periods of time. Some information on the research training we offer can be found at: Research Training. These courses are all available to part time students but they are not compulsory. There are no compulsory courses and no examinations for PhD study. The only assessment is the 80,000 word thesis and the viva oral examination once the thesis is complete.
Information on the Departmental PhD programmes we offer can be found at: Departmental PhDs. We also offer the PhD in Management if your area of interest does not fit with a Department or falls into the area of Entrepreneurship or Strategic Management. You should look on the website at the research interests of members of staff in the departments as we can only offer supervision in these specific areas. We normally expect applicants to hold a Masters qualification at distinction or near distinction level.
If you wish to be considered for a place on a PhD programme, you need to complete an application form. This can now be done online at: https://www.postgraduate.lancs.ac.uk/_layouts/userauthentication/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/MyLancaster/ApplicationForm.aspx. You will also be prompted to upload your supporting documents online. This will include academic transcripts for your Undergraduate and Masters degree, two references and a detailed research proposal. Information on how to write a research proposal can be found at: Writing your Research Proposal. We do not require a GMAT score with initial applications. The Economics and Accounting and Finance departments may ask for this once the application has been submitted.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any further questions.
    Thanks,
    Laura
