Wait until the umpteenth and a half hour to write a paper all the while knowing if you had just done a little at a time here and there you would sail into the sunset stress free? So you say to yourself next time I will start earlier to avoid the cram pressure. Then you get the grade back and it turns out the paper was completely awesome.

The irony of it is it frustrates me because now I believe I can only achieve such writing brilliance leveraging my last minute procrastination ADD method which in and of itself is stressful enough.

one day, one 15 page paper = one A. Rinse and repeat for the next paper. :|

I did this with every paper I had at Harvard Extension, three classes, three A's. Multiple papers written between the hours of midnight and 7 am then straight to work, class and then bed. My record was a 22 page paper that I did less than half the reading for in my proseminar, took me 7 hours to write. I wanted to frame it.

It's the stupidest most effective way to write papers :)

Sorry, I don't do it that way; I can't stand that kind of stress. Plus, I enjoy writing so I don't tend to procrastinate. I usually ace all my papers too, but I usually only put in an hour or so a day and start a week or two before it's due. No stress. In fact, I just turned in an 18 page paper two days early.

I'll do ya one better. How about not studying at all, missing several days of class and acing a chemistry exam (from a Tier 1 college, no less, where about half the class was expected to fail chemistry on any given semester). One of my most memorable academic accomplishments, as I independently deduced and discovered all of the laws of chemistry, all during the test, just so I could get my A. :D

You just reminded me of high school. For AP English, I never read any of the books and typically wrote my papers in study hall the class before. Expectedly, they were all garbage, but I still pulled a B for the class. OOOOOOh... funny memory here! The few times I actually knew the material (including the videos we watched in class and a few projects that were completely of our own invention), I got A's. The first A that I got in that class, the teacher held a meeting with me after school and accused me of cheating. She said that the paper wasn't in my "voice." LOL

I just graduated from a second master degree program and managed a near 4.00 GPA for both. I also waited until the last minute to do most of the papers I had to write, as it usually takes a deadline to get me motivated. However, I don't recommend it. The fast pace detracts from the introspective aspect of writing, which is where a lot of the best learning occurs.

You have just described not only all my student life (high school, undergrad, grad study) but also my professional life (as I have worked most of my life as a freelancer).

I speak seven languages fluently, have six pack abs, earn six figures per year working part time, own seven proprieties, am attractive to women, have traveled the world, am a multi-championship winning chess player, connect four player, fooseball player, spades player, poker player, wrestler, cyclist and memory athlete, can cook like a world class chef, can finish a rubix cube in 12 seconds, can clap with one hand and do all the repairs on a bicycle or car, am a published poet, author, have contracts as a song writer for major record labels, and I sing like an angel. Oh, need I mention my Associate's Degree from Excelsior and multitude for professional certifications for more fields than I have hairs on my perfectly styled head?

Let's face it, I am awesome incarnate. To say so is not to brag, rather, to state a fact that has an overwhelming amount of supporting evidence.

I already have been 25 years old for one eternity, so I'm sure I could make it last the rest of this one.

Yep this is a weekly occurrence with me ! Just last week I wrote 3 papers in 2 days :) but I tend to only do this for papers less than 5-7 pages. The 15 pager I have coming up in 2 weeks I plan to start this coming week!
