We need a new page for all the Sticky Threads.

Should the mod's general a new page to hold all these sticky threads in one location? Almost 3/4 of the first page are all sticky threads, we need to real this in IMO.

What do you think???

I've been hearing that for months, surely with the new format it would have been a priority. No problem, I'll continue scrolling down to the bottom of the page to find things I actually want to read.

 

OK, the sticky-fix can come first as long as I still get world domination in time for my birthday. :lmao:

 

They could move all the stickies to a separate forum (ie, a sub-forum of the main one) but then no one would ever look at them. It might be better to move them and then add ONE sticky which links to all of them. However what my guess would be, is that they are trying to integrate the kind of info that's in the stickies into the main website, so that when that is completed the stickies would become irrelevant. Just my hypothesis

 

Yes, I figured this as well. That is why I thought it would have rolled out at or shortly after the website change. Either way, I am sure they are over worked and under paid (or not paid) but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

 

Yeah the whole scrolling down past all the garage is getting annoying, I love this site, but I'm just saying.

 

"they" is mostly me for the time being (as far as things like managing articles and content goes.) And of late, there's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff we've been working on that's required a lot of my energy. But the stickies are pretty high priority. Patience, patience

I'll also point out that when I unstickied a half-dozen or so of the (seemingly) least important ones, a bunch of people bitched about that too. So... sometimes you just can't please everybody.

Same here - I don't see those threads unless they show up in the new/updated list or a random forum search.

 

No, you definitely can't please everyone. It is probably the same people that can't use the search function either. They all have very obvious key words and will pop up when they do a search. Stickies aren't usually set aside for the most common topics but usually are reserved for the vital information needed for using the website or critical information that is needed for all. Those stickies are about doctorate programs, military, and such a wide ranging set of topics that a simple search function would bring them up and every problem would be solved. If they are super important to someone surely they know what they are searching for.....

 

After World Domination, can I be appointed governor of a small peaceful tropical island? Or at least Secretary of Education.
