Hello! I'm looking for a graduate program in Student Affairs, with an end goal of working in Academic Advising or some other aspect of Higher Education Administration. I would prefer the University to have some sort of B&M presence and be regionally accredited.

I'm already aware of the Academic Advising program offered at KSU (Master’s Program – Academic Advising – K-State Division of Continuing Education), but am looking for something a little more broad.

I've also checked out the UW-LAX Student Affairs program (Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education | UW-La Crosse), but any information on other programs would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Indiana State University has a program that one can complete on-campus in two years, or through DL in three years. Not sure of the last time this policy was set, I'm sure if you call them, you'll get the latest policy.

Academic advising is pretty specific and you might not want to be pigeonholed. I would urge you to do as general a program in higher education administration as you can find. Better yet, do educational technology, as it's still an education degree, but being technologically literate is almost always a plus on your resume and in interviews even if the position wouldn't seem especially to call for it.

But then, as a former academic advisor with an MA in Educational Technology Leadership, I'm obviously biased.

    Good afternoon!

Although Kansas State was my first thought when I saw the thread title, perhaps you should look at Drexel's MS in Higher Education. This degree offers various concentrations, and more information can be seen at Online Master's in Higher Education on the web.

    Good luck in your search!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I must agree that a more general degree would be more beneficial, although I still would like to find something with an emphasis in Student Affairs.

    So far the list is:

UW - LAX: M.S. Student Affairs Administration (Curriculum | Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education | UW-La Crosse)
Indiana State: M.S. Student Affairs and Higher Education (Distance Learning: Student Affairs and Higher Education (Master Degree))
Drexel University: M.S. Higher Education (Online Master's in Higher Education)

Keep em' coming if you have em' :)

Another program I was able to find was at Arkansas Tech University; M.A. in College Student Personnel (CSP Home Page)
