I've been discussing this with a friend lately and she really wants to transfer from her Grad program in Criminal Justice into Psychology. She prefers to take the DL route if possible. I've shown her the University of North Dakota but she's resistant because of the two week mini residency. oh forgot to add she's looking for Abnormal or Forensic Psych.

She's a LEO and wants to do something with the degree that relates to the field which is why she likes Forensic and Abnormal. She's really into name recognition so the other options I've shown her (Argosy, etc.) won't do. You guys have any suggestions other than telling her she's SOL? :haha:

Oh and I found this link while looking --> University of Berkley. Doctoral, Masters, Bachelors and Associate Degrees Online. very strange looking website trying to capitalize off of Cal berkley...

I just thought of something...since she's a LEO should she be considering Criminology as well. It seems like that might suit her better than just CJ....Florida State Offers a Masters in Criminology as well (obvious name recognition)....any ideas on name recog Master's in Criminology as well?

Name recognition for a mid-career professional is pretty much pointless unless one is getting the degree solely for vanity. If she's really doing it for a great education and not to be able to tell everyone what a prestigious school she went to, then U-North Dakota should be an excellent choice.

There's a pretty large list here of schools with criminal justice-related psych, counseling, and similar degrees. If you sort through some of the crappy for-profits in there, there are some gems, and even some pretty nameworthy schools.
