I finished my MBA this week and even though I enjoyed it, I'm glad that it's over.

I started off at Ellis University and it was a great learning experience but I had some deaths in my family and some schedule fluctuation and the 6 week classes became overwhelming.

I switched to Columbia Southern because of the flexibility and I loved it there, too. Again, I'm glad it's all over. Graduation is next month.

    Thank you, Randell!

I need to take a break. I want to pursue a doctorate but I'll probably wait until all of the kiddos are out of the house; my studies have taken a toll on my family. It's really been a journey. I didn't hang out here as much as I did before because I was trying to minimize my distractions. Tonight, I went back and reviewed some of the threads where I was debating and...I've come a long ways! The folks at Degreeinfo.com and degreeboard.com encouraged me immensely and I am very appreciative of that.

The scholars here should be happy to know that this is the only "lefty" site that I hang out at and brag about all of the time. ;-) Yes, I've read some of the political discussions. This place hasn't changed much.

Congratulations BDev. You deserve accolades for enduring all of your setbacks and making it work!

Also, it's smart of you to wait for the doctorate until the kids are older. You will never get that time with them back and you will never regret the time invested in them. It is always best to sacrifice and live a life without regrets. Also, a doctorate really has dubious value these days anyway. You almost have to just want one for yourself because it may not pay you back for the work and the investment. At least, that's my attitude as I work on my doctorate.

PS. Shhhh, don't tell anyone but...not all of us are leftys :nervous:

    Thank you all!

Michael, I'm back and forth with the doctorate but I agree with you. Honestly, I think I'd need two lifetimes to learn and do all of the things that I'm interested in. We'll keep your "backwards, simple thinking" between us. ;-) That is good to know though!

Abner, it seems like only yesterday, huh? lol Time flies. You're finished too? I thought we would finish around the same time. Congratulations to you, sir.
