time limit for semester extension ?

I have been told by a DETC accredited school that DETC does not allow extension for a semester in an associate degree to go over a total of 104 weeks.

Is this true ?

 

Nobody has faced up to the problem of a DETC accredited college
putting down a Limit to a Semester Extension ??

 

I gues that the part I don't understand is this: If you've already been given the answer by the school itself, how can you imagine that we might have superior information reagarding the policies of that specific school?

 

Plus, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that a SEMESTER shouldn't take longer than 2 YEARS? I would think that's a pretty reasonable policy.
