Im bored  and trying to decide if there are other Masters degree that I should consider since I have not made a final decision yet. So I'll tell you a little about myself and you suggest jobs/degrees that you think would be a good fit based on my description! Anyone else is welcome to post theirs as well :)

Hopefully this wont turn out to silly..lol

First and foremost I enjoy helping others. I am outgoing and love interacting with people in any way. I enjoy teaching others something that I know that they do not. I enjoy talking with other people about what degree they are going for as well as passing along any information I know about schools and such. I love to read and spend time knitting or crocheting.

I am good at speaking in front of other people and have been told I have a knack for making others feel comfortable when I am giving a presentation or speech. I am a dominant personality and take charge any chance I get. I am a planner (which is why this is driving me NUTS) and I am organized.

I have absolutely no interest in anything related to Math but strangely I enjoy number crunching for budgets and I do my own taxes every year. I enjoy traveling but I have a 3 year old so its not as possible as it once was. Even though I have a 3 year old I generally do not like small children! I much prefer older kids and adults. I am strong and situations that scare other people normally do not phase me (which I why I considered becoming a counselor in substance abuse).

My favorite classes in college so far have been psychology and business law. I also have a passion for photography and have a small (VERY SMALL) business from it. Meaning I get about 2-3 clients a month if I am lucky).

Anyone want to play???? Suggestions for a degree that you think fits???:p

That is an option but they are not CACREP accredited. The main reason I want CACREP accredited is because I have no clue where we will end up and I have read on some states requirement that if you have attended a university that is CACREP accredited and meet all other state requirements (such as working 2000 supervised hours etc) you will qualify.

If I knew where we were going to end up I might be leaning more towards them but I did fill out the request more info!

There are only one or two states that require CACREP. Oregon is one and I don't remember the other. Most states want it but have a list of required courses instead.

Very true, but most states will accept a CACREP degree even if something is off from their requirements should you not have the CACREP. Does that make sense? Basically if I have a CACREP accredited degree I will automatically meet many states educational requirements. I think the bit of extra money makes it worth that just so I dont have to go through any state we could possibly ever live in and make sure that another program meets their requirements. Since we have no clue where it is we are going to end up it just makes it easier :)

It definitely makes sense and I have been through this myself while debating that very topic. If it interests you I wouldn't hold myself to only CACREP programs unless there was a particular one that completely interested you.

Great option, if the OP is independently wealthy or willing to become severely in debt. This program runs north of 120k!

    ow! :(

  14. Not really many choices for a DL APA approved clinical psychology doctorate program though.

My thoughts exactly! Also, while Fielding offers the only (mostly) online, APA-accredited PhD in Clinical Psychology, they are currently on probation with the APA. Not exactly comforting news for current or potential students.
