Anyone know of a master's in Biblical Studies, 36 hours or less, and totally online?

My state's dept. of education offers certification in Bible; courses must pertain to Old or New Testament.

    Michael-

I cannot seem to locate any thing else.

    Thanks for the link.

It's a 60-hour program, requires the GRE, and language study, none of which I want to do.

Maybe I'm too picky, but that's the way it is.

Not a problem. I am sure there are more, but I am unable to locate. There should be additional members who have a greater insight.

    Is this for you, Michael?

Thanks for helping. I found a few but none that meet my requirements. I like Liberty's program, but it's 45 hours.

Here's one I like -- except that it's fundamentalist and dispensational, which I'm not.

I wonder if you can negotiate with Liberty? I know, silly question, but still...

Yes, for me. I have a teacher's certificate that I need to renew; this would give me one more area of endorsement, plus allow me to teach in college, hopefully. Religion/philosophy/theology and literature/writing are the areas I'm most attracted to.

No, not silly. I'm open to trying.

Have you looked at Global University of the Assemblies of God?

I did look at it, but they require 15 undergraduate hours in Bible and Theology; I have 15 hours, but in religion and philosophy. They offer the option of testing out of these; I might be able to do that because I have studied theology intensively on my own.

I am SO pumped for this program! It's exactly what I was looking for, tuition is $360/cr, RA, and I can do a thesis (of which, because I am a giant nerd, I already have a topic picked out to write on)... Even better, it's a new program they're just starting this Fall, so I'll be one of the first "guinea pigs" to start it.

The first class I'm taking starts Nov 8th and is Studies in the New Testament :) It will present a welcome contrast to the MBA stuff i'm doing and my Quantitative Principles course will be almost done when it begins so it should be ok :D

You guys may need to pray for me! lol
