Do any other schools out there beat AU's MBA programs? I mean, does it get any cheaper for DETC schools? I have searched and asked around and for the same type of degree, you may end up paying x3 times or more - it seems like a no brainer. Do all DETC schools have the same reputation?
There are RA Masters you can find close to that price but the only other MBA that's even close is Andrew Jacksons.
There are some in-state mbas for between 4-5k, and the RA Amberson University has one for about 7.5k, which allows for a good ammount of transfer credit, too. BETTER than the Aspen price can be found in South AFrican schools, but i would highly doubt that you would find something elsein UsA for that price.
Wayne State College has a 30 credit hour IACBE-accredited MBA program priced at $237.50 per credit hour. WSC - MBA - 30 Credit Hour Program
Well for now it's definitely Aspen University http://info.aspen.edu/ at 100$ per Grad hour the MBA tuition is only $3,600 for the full program. I am seriously considering the MBA - Project Management option. but I am really worried about the value of a DETC MBA in the real world. It might be worth investing an extra 7k to get an RA MBA.. What do you guys think?
I guess it comes down to what you want to do with it once you are done. If you want to get in to a PhD program with an RA university, then DETC may not cut it.

Iacbe I did not know this but IACBE is not recognized by CHET. Looking at this list of colleges they accredited US Members they are generally small and obscure in the extreme. The IACBE is not yet recognized by U.S. education authorities as a higher education accreditor. I contacted them myself a few months ago about Bachelor's degrees and they said the same thing: the school doesn't offer online-only degrees. Now, what is up with that, when the website seems to say something completely different, makes no sense to me. EDIT: Upon further review, there are several references on the website to their online MBA, and how proud they are of it. I'm not sure if they have any other programs, but at least I can confirm that they do have an online MBA. It tops the GetEducated list of Best Buys for RA MBAs, which is even mentioned on the WSC site. It is really confusing how a potential student could be informed that no such program exists
So Wayne State College's MBA is double the price of Aspen's. How much is regional accreditation worth to ya?
I know business accreditation is a largely a one-horse race, but Chadron State College has a fine MBA ACBSP accredited and about $7K. My litmus test (other than I have attended there for undergrad) is the books and Chadron's booklist impresses me more than Aspen's. My tuition program would cover either, so yes, Chadron would win (though I like what Aspen is trying to do). Phillip
