This is getting out of hand. When I first saw Education Connection commercials I just kind of chuckled and moved on but I saw this one YouTube - College In Pj's 2010 | :60 last night and I just cringed. Seriously?
Yeah, I think a lot of people think doing a degree via DL is really easy. I had a friend who said he was going to get his BS online, but when he realized there was actual work involved, he bailed. Abner
Every time I get on the net there is an ad for an online college on the page. I see tons on TV as well. But as Abner said, most that start do not stay with it. I know a bunch of people who started online went for a class and quite as soon as they found out it took work. My cousin was one of those people. She talked about going back the two weeks before her classes started 24/7. As soon as she started her first week she dropped out. I asked her about it and she told she did not think it was going to be like college.
I concur. The ad makes it appear to be a lazy person's dream. Lay in bed, poke a few buttons and get a degree. Nothing could farther from the truth and the ad is deceptive in its own way.
Same for me - however my wife gets travel adds all the time. The cookies (or something like that) are what decides what adds to put on your web pages.
