Has anyone received and/or taken Thomas Edison State College curriculum for B.S. in business administration? Second part....Has anyone received their BS in Business Administration and run into problems or questions pertaining to the fact that it is not Business management? Thanks. I am looking into school online and am sure, as most of you, that I want to make sure that I have all my bases covered. Thank you in advance for your time
Hi, welcome to DegreeInfo! TESC is a good school. There is little perceived difference between business administration and business management in the outside world. It would make little difference to employers and little difference to universities who would admit you for an MBA. IMO, it's not a concern whatsoever.
I completed a BSBA through TESC and was happy with the choice; most of the coursework was transferred in though, with the exception of their international management course. Like most other schools I've seen the BSBA is the general title for all of their business degrees, with different types of management being available as concentrations, along with other subjects such as accounting, IS, marketing, etc. The key to the BSBA is the core body of knowledge that you find in just about all business degrees, at TESC and elsewhere, including macro / micro economics, principles of management, etc.
