My husband works on old cars. He currently is working on a 1958 Ford Custom 2 door. He has done all the restoration work himself. He used to be a carpet installer, but is now retired. Does anyone know of any schools that offer programs restoring cars like car upholstery or body paint designing (airbrush, pen stripe, graphics) online? He has already taken welding and is knowledgeable about car mechanics.

    Thanks

I see you are in Iowa, I am near Davenport :) I don't know what you'll find online, but I know that most of the community colleges- Scott for sure (EICCD - Eastern Iowa Community College District) have "auto body" programs.
I have a friend who is a car restorer too, but to a much less degree than your husband. He generally doesn't do everything himself- but anyway, he attends a lot of car shows and they do these cross-region drives where they all go as a group. There are hundreds of members. I would think, that he might be able to ask around and see if any of the other people doing this have found any kind of training programs or online study.
    Good luck to you both!
