    Hi

I just met with my worker and was told that they will help fund my tuition anywhere in the United States at an accredited college. However, they only offer partial (40% or $49.00 vs. over 100.00 per credit hour) funding if the program is online. So if I went to a college like Iowa State they would pay around 1500 a semester, while they will only pay 600.00 for an online program.

Has anyone else come across this in other states? What are your thoughts?

    What's their definition of "online"?

There are schools out there that still do correspondence courses. Are they saying butt-in-seat programs specifically are the only ones they fund at 100%? Or are they maybe trying to avoid getting gouged by overpriced for-profit DL schools?

    Re

Since I have taken online courses through community college in Iowa, my guess is that they won't fully fund programs that are outside of Iowa.

    Thanks
