Hello this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could help me try to figure out how many of my credits would transfer over to Charter Oak. Also what I should specialize my concentration in. I'm going to enter in the liberal studies concentration. Here are my credits.

39 credits from Indiana University 15 business, 3 psych, 12 labor studies, 3 english 101, and 2 other general elecs

I have passed the psych/lit GRE with 60% I understand these are worth 18 credits each

I have also passed all the Aleks courses with ACE approval

Also Sraighterline courses, eng 102, micro/macro and both accounting courses

I also have 13 fema courses, I understand I need those transcribed

I also have 12 spanish clep credits, and dsst intro to computing

I'm also submitting a portfolio that I hope will grant my 12-15 credits

Any help would be appreciated, just trying to figure out how much more work I need to do. Thanks

Welcome to the board. COSC used to have a layout of the courses needed and what area they met (English CLEP met the English requirement, etc.). I am not sure about Striaghtline, FEMA, or Aleks. As far as the portfolio, I heard that was hard and it was an easier path to just take the CLEP exams.

One of this board's esteemed members, Steve Foerster, graduated from Charter Oak. He says their customer service is great, even if you are not enrolled. If you cannot get satisfactory answers from their website, give them a call and ask for advice.

I have chosen to respond through my representative. ;)

But seriously, yes, I would simply contact their admissions folks and ask them. They won't charge you to give you a preliminary, unofficial sense of where you're likely to be once you transfer all that stuff in. And unlike some schools, they won't harass you to death trying to make the sale once they have your contact information.
