Kim, as of Kim from team Abner, is submitting the Aspen U paperwork for the new BGS degree! After she watched me go through the Aspen MBA, she decided should could not pick a better school, at a GREAT price!

Part of the fun for me is copying, sorting and organizing transcripts, certificates, CLEP, DANTES, etc. , then submit them to the school and see how much credit Kim (the student) can obtain. We just got back from Staples, which is like a toy shop to me.

    See ya,

    Abner :)

You're running out of time to get in on the special deal, aren't you? Doesn't it end on the 31st?

I would assume that you would be OK as long as you got your application submitted before the deadline. I'm not sure it is the 31st, you may want to double check. I talked to them over a month ago and the details have gotten fuzzy.

    I know how you feel...

My wife is returning to school next Monday at Clovis. She needs 5 classes to earn the AGS (Associates - General Studies) from Clovis. I did the same thing as Abner with transcripts.

I'm about to be done with them as well. Why not have her wait till summer when it's cheaper? Oh...you're a Doctor now, you got all the big bucks...lol

And of course, she taken all the necessary CLEP and DANTES? With you as her husband, I am sure she has. :) I usually set up the CLEP and DANTES for Kim, the go with her for moral support. It's kind of fun. I like returning to the B&M setting.

Actually she's not going to take any CLEP/DANTES.

Melinda needs 5 classes for a degree from Clovis. According to Clovis policy, 15 credits of work must be taken at Clovis, so she's going to do the seat work. For us, the classes are cheaper than CLEP, because my family is Pell Grant eligible.

Nice!!!! Kim did that at the local CC. I just had her take a bunch of CLEPS, DANTES, FEMA, etc. for the future.

I had some great education at a CC. The B&M experience is cool.

Is she actually attending Clovis physically (seat work?) or doing DL courses?

Regardless, I am sure she won't be standing up.

She's going to finish via DL. We thought about having her take classes at the local community college but due day care issues and the commute (20 minutes each way, Melinda decided she wants to complete her Associates Degree via DL.

With an AA degree especially, there is not reason not to.
