Looks like a great deal. Those courses will have you halfway to an AS/AA in business.

I signed up and paid, I changed my mind the next day. They would not give me a refund. I had to do a charge back on my card to get the money back, which was the first time I have ever done that. You know I would have let it go except the guy that works over there said to bad when I asked for the refund, his words "TO BAD!"

Sorry to hear about your customer service experience. Did you pay $399 for the course or did you sign up for their monthly subscription of $99 and $39 per course? The monthly subscription is non-refundable but the per course enrollment fee is refundable.

I did the $99 a month plan. I saw that AJU said they took ACE credits, I found that I was maxed out. So I said oh well, I can use them for EC, then said no I don't want to do that I really don't need the credit. I never signed in, never took a class, nothing, like I said I would have been ‘‘That’s ok I knew the rules.'' But then the guy said "To Bad." It set me off!

It's TOO. Maybe you should see if straighterline has an English course you can take.

Seriously though, straighterline is a waste of money and you don't really learn anything.

I just quoted what the guy said to me, sorry if he used the wrong to/too/two.

I'm just going to smile and go about my way.

We generally don't correct each others spelling or grammatical errors. Please let that sort of thing go, because we all make a mistake on occasion.

This, it takes a very small person to correct someone on an educational website where people are already obviously improving themselves.

Could you enlighten us on what you base that on? How many Straighterline courses have you taken? What sort of problems did you have with them? How are their courses inferior to simliar web-based coursework offered by community colleges or other institutions offering similar web-based delivery of relatively standardized coursework?

You don't learn anything! their Economics classes are rigorous! makes you study hard to get an A!

There are several students on this forum than can verify what I just said.

If you don't like it or think it is too easy great for you, nobody forces you to take SL classes!

My comment had nothing to do with rigor, I never took one course. Mine had to do with CS which sucked in my case. Others my find the courses great and never have a problem with their service.

I agree CS is not the best

"too bad" would have upset me as well (re-reads to verify his use of "too" while desperately hoping the third person is permissible for this brief ramble).

B4, can SL go after your credit? 'Cause 99 bucks isn't worth taking a hit over.

I don't think they can, I never received any product or service.

I would look into it anyway, just to be safe. I don't think they have to prove anything unless you contest it, so keep an eye on that credit report just in case you need to duke it out with them.
