Hello everyone Here is my problem. I am trying to finish my Bachelors while being outside of the US.I plan to transfer to WSU (on-line BA in Accounting) and looking where I can take some Math Classes before the transfer. I have College Algebra completed and need to take WSU business core prerequisites MATH 201 (Business Precalculus ) and Math 202 ( Business Calculus) First I decided to sign up with LSU, but their Math classes are not offered online and it will take me forever to complete these two classes via regular correspondence option. Also, I checked an and it seems that Clep exams are not offered in Russia. Do you think I can take an Aleks course and then transfer it to WSU? What are my other options?? Thanks a lot!!! You've always been so helpful!!
ALEKS will be transferred through ACE. You will have to check to see if the receiving institution accepts ACE credit.
JB is 100% right, The website to begin the process is: https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts/login/index.cfm?nc=5PU6G5CD4R It's free to get it approved, so you can do that today if you want, the cost is issued when you send your first transcript. Like JB said, check with your school for the details.
ALEKS has both a pre-calc and calc course. I'd ask a rep at WSU first and see if it would be acceptable as a transfer first anyway. Not having "business" in the course title may or may not matter to them.
Well Global University does not offer the classes you need however it offers several general education classes you may need and probably at a very discounted tuition since you are overseas (probably 50% less or even more)
Just a note, these are the courses that are reviewed by ACE: Independent Use (Homeschoolers) - ACE Credit Courses ACE Credit-Recommended ALEKS Courses: Beginning Algebra Intermediate Algebra College Algebra Trigonometry College Algebra with Trigonometry PreCalculus Introduction to Statistics Business Statistics Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences I believe they have a calc course but if this is correct it is not reviewed by ACE. I was hoping I was wrong , I could probably find a way to use a calculus course.
Yes, I figured Aleks wouldn't transfer to WSU ((( Does anyone know where I could take business calculus on the rolling basis? I need to have it completed by January, 10
