Hey guys I need some help finding some cheap programs in Occupational Health and Safety. My wife is currently in healthcare field and would like to learn more about Occupational Safety. When I google it I can’t find a lot of programs, and the ones that I do find are pretty expensive. A graduate certificate probably would be what she is looking for…. Any help would be appreciated…

Is she a nurse? University of Iowa had grant money that was funding free MSN in Occupational Safety for RNs about 6 months back- I can't find my link but she should call the Nursing Department and ask!

EDIT: It looks like they are dropping the master's degree and going with only the doctorate, sorry, I should have checked. Occupational Health Nursing - Academic Programs - The Heartland Center for Occupational Health and Safety - The College of Public Health - The University of Iowa

I've requested a packet from CSU on their MS in Occupational Health and look forward to reviewing it.

University of Alabama seems like a decent program at a reasonable price.

I've posted this program a few times in different threads and it does look very appealing at $330/hour. Graduate Certificate in Environmental Health and Safety Management (Online) | Overview

Another plus is that you can also continue toward the MS in Human Environmental Sciences if you want. That means the cert is halfway through the degree. It's a great looking program.

The $330 per unit rate is for in state tuition, but I wonder if online students have to pay the in state tuition rate or the out of state tuition rate?

No, $330/hour is for distance learner grad students.

    Undergraduate Rate: $312 per credit-hour
    Graduate Rate: $330 per credit-hour"

I've thought about this program for a while now, and it looks really great. A little management with a little OSH and from a known B&M school. The fact that you can finish with the MS is enticing as well. :burnout:
