I currently found out about straighterline and was curious if anyone has taken any classes with them. I have a schedule that conflicts with class and exam schedules and need to find an online source that doesn't require class dates or call for a proctor. I saw that they have partnered with several colleges to accept the ACE, but was curious if this would transfer back to my college. I currently attend Southeastern Bible College and didn't know if it was a legitimate transfer. Also, could it be transferred into a university? Or does anyone have any suggestions on non-proctored online courses?

Many people on the other message board have completed courses with Straighterline. I completed College Algebra and Macroeconomics. They are ACE approved now but they also have a long list of regionally accredited partner colleges that can place the classes on a transcript for you. I had mine done through Fort Hayes State University.

JB, I've always been curious. What does it say on the transcript itself in regards to the course when transcribed through a partner school? Does it say something like College Algebra - Straighterline Corporation, or does it just say College Algebra?

It says everything the same as if I had taken the class at FHSU.

FHSU will transcript them as if you had taken the class with them. However the other colleges willl take the credits as transfer, so you probably wont be able to transfer to your college if you choose them. The safest way is to go via FHSU or if you school takes ACE do ACE.
