Who actually produces the DSST tests?

    I called Prometric about the Introduction to Computing DSST and they have no idea what I'm talking about. What organization actually produces the Dantes/DSST tests? Thanks!

    It appears to be the Department of Defense, however Prometric does in fact manage the civilian testing. Perhaps the person you spoke to was somehow ignorant about what things they do at his company.

    In fact, at the bottom of the getcollegecredit.com website you can see the fine print:
    "© 2010 DSST. All Rights Reserved. DSST is a registered trademark of Prometric."

    I believe DANTES does. DANTES Subject Standardized Tests.

    Hmm. Still no luck. I think I'll call back a different day when somebody else is working.
