    Hello everyone,
I am new here, but I’ve done my research, and I think I’ve read every post on this forum. . Here is my story. I was born in Russia and moved to the US ( California) when I was 23. I received an AS in Business Administration from a community college and was about to transfer To UCR when due to a family emergency I had to leave the country. I am planning on being in Russia for another year or two and while I am here, I would like to continue with my education.
I would really like to work in Finance. First of all, it’s interesting and second of all, I might have an advantage over other candidates because I know a BRIC country language.
My plan is to get an online B.S. in Accounting from a Brick and Mortar university and then to receive my Masters in Finance. My transfer GPA ( For over 60 units) is 4 and I plan to get some scholarships to reduce the debt.

Here is what I want to do. After an extensive research I chose WSU for my Bachelor’s in Accounting. Although this school is pricey, I really like it. ( it’s AACSB accredited; I already have all their business prerequisites completed; they can accept up to 90 units; their customer assistance is excellent and they promptly answered all my questions).
I know it’s too late for applying for this year scholarships so I am thinking of applying for the Fall 2011. But how should I spend this year?
I am thinking of taking some upper division accounting and business classes at LSU or Fort Hays State and then transferring them to WSU.
Since WSU accepts up to 90 units from a four year school and I have only over 60 units completed, I can take other 30 units of upper division coursework somewhere where it’s cheaper and then transferring these units to WSU.

So, my question is: Do you think WSU will accept my 90 units of coursework?

The safest thing for you to do is to contact WSU to find out. Tell them the schools you will be attending and ask if they will accept credits from there. I know that, as state universities have become more impacted, they have tightened up their admission policies. So what was true a few years ago might not be true today.

If the course is in the transfer credit database, it will transfer (you can check this online - good for shopping DL schools to take individual courses from). If it is not (or is expired), the academic department will be asked to evaluate it on a case by case basis.

Some departments will accept courses easily, others are very picky about content matching exactly. It's not the easiest or fastest process, but it is what it is.

yes, I checked the courses I want to take from LSU and they are in WSU database. SO they will be accepted.
The problem is that I've been enrolled into three schools so far. two community colleges and one university. LSU will be my forth school. I am afraid that I won't be accepted at WSU just because I changed so many schools and obviously had an intention to enroll to WSU for the final year.

I wrote them but haven’t received any response on my message which is kind of unusual for them))
