I'm finishing up the prerequisite course work to start a nutrition program and one of the classes I need to take is physiology. An adviser from the school suggested a stand alone physiology class would satisfy the prerequisite and went on to suggest a class at LSU that is presently on hold.

Can anyone suggest another online physiology class? I have also found the class at BYU, Cal and Univ New England but I'm hoping to find a class that is not as expensive.

Excelsior offers a 6 credit Anatomy and Physiology exam without a lab component. You can test out as quickly as you feel you are prepared. It is heavy on physiology, more so than anatomy in my opinion. There are lots of good study aids available and Excelsior also has a practice exam which is very good to prepare you for what to expect on the actual exam. It really isn't that bad of an exam. Good luck!

Did you not want to take the LSU class because it is on hold? They will generally let you take the on hold classes as long as you can get a copy of the textbook edition they reference for the course. You have to do this through paper registration rather than online, but it's pretty easy as long as you can find a used textbook. They usually just put them on hold to revise the course when the textbook edition is out of print.

Did not know that. If that's the case, then I'll definitely go the LSU route; that was my first option. Thanks

You can find several courses by searching here (use 'keyword'):
    California Virtual Campus

Tuition is low for CA residents and higher for non-CA residents.
