    I'd love to go to SATS right now, but being unemployed I can't afford even 2 subjects with them right now. I however can get together the $100 for Nations U for a year. Nations is unaccredited but is suppose to get accredited in the not too distant future. Do you think SATS would accept any credits from NU?

    I'm guessing that the answer is "no" but this is based on the generic principle that an accredited school is not going to accept credits from an unaccredited school. Let's face it, there are some RA schools that won't take DETC credits so how can you reasonably expect a fully accredited school to accept credits from a school that has no accreditation at all? The biggest problem you've got is that even if you contact SATS and ask them they're not likely going to give you a definitive answer. They're likely to say something like, "Well, take the courses and apply to SATS and THEN we'll decide if we'll accept the credits." No hypotheticals allowed. That's my prediction.

    I talked with them and they said yes they would.

    Other schools that said yes;

    Liberty-RA
    Global University-RA/DETC with a 3 or 4 class prob.

    and there we two or three other I can not recall. I posted a list on elearner's about six months ago.

    Global and Nations work together a lot and the DEAN over the masters programs really likes Nation's

    Sorry if I'm dense but by that do you mean Global would accept 3 or 4 classes? Also I assume you mean that Liberty would accept credits from Nations for their undergrad. I know they will accept a Nations undergrad for admission into their seminary, but didn't know they would accept their credits also.

    They will take your BRS from NAtions to enter their masters program.

    That's good to know but I'm not sure if I'd be interested in their master's program. Thanks though.

    What about studying really hard independently and then taking some CLEP tests to test out of a number of subjects. That would accomplish your goal in a fairly inexpensive way and your credits could be accredited.

    I was also thinking CLEP and DSST might be a good option.

    I found a posting from someone who had an associates from Nations that was accepted by SATS for transfer into their Bachelor of Theology program

    Mdivs [Archive] - BaptistBoard.com

    Here's the relevent portion.

    "Also, there are unaccredited degrees that do NOT cost much, and that are accepted for transfer credits at some Accredited universities. For instance, I did a A.R.S. at Nations University for 100 bucks. It was a very rigorous program, required a lot of writing, etc. I then transferred that to SATS. I got full credit for my degree. And it saved me about 2000 bucks toward my BTh there. "
