Well it looks like I will be taking six courses in the fall. Four from AJU and two from Clovis. I checked with Clovis and they approved the classes I will be taking with AJU. It will cost me around $850 including all fee's and without books. That’s 18 credit's.......I am getting a little worried now, is that to much?

I got hired for an internship starting Jan 1st so I want to get all of this done now. In the spring I will take one more class with AJU and get my AS in CJ and then one more ? with Clovis and I will have my AGS.
So if all goes to plan I will have two associates degrees in the spring, one RA and one NA. Then it all goes to EC!

15-18 hours is a typical full-time course load for an on-campus student. If you are willing to work hard, it's manageable even with a full-time job, although you won't have much of a social life. My next-to-last semester of my undergrad, I took 15 hours in an 8-week session, and managed to come through it with a 4.0 for the term. Get yourself organized, at the beginning of the term map out all your assignments and exams onto a calendar and work ahead as much as possible. Explain to your friends and family that you're in the final sprint towards your degree, and hopefully they'll be understanding when you have to say no to a movie or to dinner and go study instead. Then, in December after you've taken your last final, take your loved ones to a nice restaurant and celebrate your accomplishment! Good luck!

Good luck to you! I have a Masters from Malmo at 50% tempo starting in fall with a few other courses from the Swedish university system, all free. Still continuing the Aspen Ed.D but need some distractions here and there as the Ed.D is all writing writing and writing.....

I did 18 credits for my MBA in my final semester - had no social life; but had a great semester: 5 A's an A minus. Good luck!

HOLY COW!!!! I have never done more than 15. I agree with what everyone else has said. You will have no life but hey its only 4months time and its well worth the end result!

    Good luck to you!

Since we're all giving our own stories I completed 18 hours with TESC and tested out of 33 hours in 1 month during my last semester. It was really tough and I thought about quitting several times, and to be honest once I was done I became stir crazy. You can do it! :D

Yes I was nuts but I wanted to make sure I could continue with school in the Fall. My point though is that it can be done you just have to get your mind in that mode. I didn't watch TV the entire time and studied every single night during the week and some weekend days as well. It was incredibly stressful but once it was over I looked back and couldn't believe I actually finished it. You can definitely do it if I could! :D

I think we have a definitive answer to that question now.

I had to obtain permission from the Dean in order to carry that many credits, but I was laid off from my job in December 2001, and after looking at the schedule and realizing that I could graduate in May 2002, I went for it.

My MBA program was an evening program, with the early class from 5:20 p.m. - 7:50 p.m., and the late class from 8:10 p.m. - 10:40 p.m. After class I went across the street to the Law Library which was open 24/7. Usually stayed until 2 or so in the morning, went home and would be back on campus by noon. Saturday was 9 - 5 or so in the law library; Sunday was my day off to worship and to spend time with my family.

Everyone said I was nuts, including the Dean when he approved my schedule, but I have zero regrets.

Man.. Good luck to you on that... I'm taking 4 classes, studying for 2 ECEs and the GRE General test while working full time (I've got a very patient & understanding wife) so I can get things done by December, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I just wanted to let everyone know how things were going so far. I have completed all the work for two classes at AJU, I only have to take the proctored exams which are by webcam next week, all four, two from my English with Research, two for my Earth Science. I did all the work in less than two weeks. I am no genius, I'm just obsessive, I can't stop until all my work is done. I have two more classes I plan to knock out in the next few weeks. So far AJU has been great, they have been a lot more work than Clovis, also they have proctored exams to take. In my last to classes at Clovis I did not have one test.

Winter Semester I will be taking 5 classes at Midland Community College and 4 at AJU. That’s 9 in all. I have to take the 5 at midland for my internship (which pays :0) and starts in January. After all is said and done I will have picked up my AS in CJ from AJU and my AS in Liberal Studies from EC. In the Summer I will have my AGS from Clovis done with an concentration in Accounting. I will get all of these credits over to EC and see where I stand for a BS in Liberal studies while picking up a BS in CJ from AJU as well. I could also get an ASG at Midland if I wanted to pay the fees they allow 45 credits of transfer ( my just pointed that one to me).

    Awesome advice

I agree with fortunato map out all of your work on a calendar and have the course charts taped on your wall so you will know what to expect... And really remember to go out with your family and celebrate because by this time you are well on your way towards your undergraduate degree...
