Does anyone know of any degrees in Econometrics offered via distance?

*EDIT: I did search the archives, everything there is several years old. Courses were mentioned at a number of institutions, but none granting degrees in the field. Wondering if anything has changed.

The closest think I know of is Johns Hopkins MA in Applied Econ with a concentration in Econometrics. While it is not officially an online program, currently, one can complete 8 of the 10 required courses (including the econometrics courses) online. You might be able to take the 2 residential courses during the summer session.

Then again, I seem to recall you mentioning the JHU program in another thread, so you probably already know about it.

Or perhaps you can take the last two courses elsewhere online and transfer them in. That would be six credit-hours, which is usually allowable for transfer to a Master's degree.

Thanks for the tip. I actually mentioned the MA in Communications from them. I had no idea this program existed.

Colorado State has a MS in Statistics through their Global Campus. Classroom lectures delivered by dvd. Keep in mind econometrics or statistics programs will have heavy math prereqs probably calc through diff eq at a minimum.
