    Hello Friends,

I have a question for students who have taken Aleks courses.
How many assessments do you have to pass before being able to pass the course?

    Thank you,

    Atsklm

Hey there! You can pass on the 1st assessment if you are good enough. They are not timed. You have to have a grade of 70% for the course, and it is only valid after having taken an assessment (ie. if you pass 70% doing the material and then fail an assessment, you may not yet have passed the class. If after the assessment you still have at least 70% you are done).

Rickyjo hit it perfectly. Since it isn't timed if you work out the problems you can pass it the first time on the initial assessment. If you don't know the material ALEKS is a great resource for actually teaching you.

do you need to finish the 1st assessment in one sitting?

Nope, you sure don't... But just be aware that it may or may not keep the same question for you. I've logged out before in the middle of an assessment and come back to the same question and I've logged out, and come back to a different question of the same type of problem.

TMW is right on both counts, I've also had that happen; however, usually it is the same question. Unfortunately, there was one time when I wrote down the problem, logged out, solved it, came back, and it was gone. I was very upset.
