The Islamic College / Middlesex University

I've been reading threads on here for a bit, but haven't really posted. I've got just a couple of questions:

(1) Does anybody have any direct knowledge about/experience with The Islamic College, particularly their distance learning branch? I'm quite intrigued by their distance MA in Islamic Studies, but I'm not sure if the quality of the program is good or whether it's a respectable program.

(2) The degrees are validated by Middlesex University. Does Middlesex have a good academic reputation? I know some other programs have their degrees validated by them (London School of Theology), but having read about their recent disbandment of the philosophy department, I just want to make sure it's a degree that's actually worth something.

 

Nobody knows anything about the IC or about Middlesex University?
