ACBSP update (and CHEA/IACBE comment)

Two updates:

1. Minor name change - ACBSP now means Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

2 CHEA - Apparently CHEA reaffirmation of ACBSP has been delayed for minor problems. Meanwhile one person familiar with IACBE tells me their small staff of 3 is buried in CHEA recognition and isn't meeting service needs.

The IACBE website lists 5 full-time staff, as does the ACBSP website.

 

This may well be - but one source familiar with both claims ACBSP has their act together better than IACBE. This is one observations - perhaps others feel differently.

Both organizations were started by the same individual as alternatives to the research emphasis that dominated the AACSB. ACBSP is larger and received CHEA recognition first (IACBE is scheduled for consideration at CHEA's January meeting), so one could deduce from that ACBSP has its act together better.
