I tested out of most of the credits for my BS from Charter Oak. They have the best customer service by far. You can use the search function and search on "Big 3". There is a lot of pros and cons of each school. Do you have any computer certs? I earned about 12 credits for the ones I had at the time (MCSE NT4.0 and A+). By the way, they are all easy if you already have the credits!

Hey thanks for the help. I have a CTT+ cert and would like to get my BS in Computer Science to help. So how long did it take you to get a BS from Charter Oaks? Did you like working with them the best? Since Charter Oaks is accredi... can you continue your education with a Masters from anywhere in the country? Do all the credits Transfer? I work as a Software Trainer currently, just need the degree to back it up. Also working looking into getting a MCT as well. I lost my job a couple years ago, and it took almost 8months to find another one. So I never want to not have the education if I am ever out in the Job market again. Thanks for your help.

I've only had experience with Excelsior, but I can say that I found them very easy to work with. The customer service was good for me, and I only interacted with people via e-mail. I also used many IT based certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) in addition to CLEP, Excelsior Exam's, previous college credit, and Excelsior courses to complete my degree.

With my specific situation I found it faster to complete the credits within a BS in Liberal Studies and have CIS as a focus area rather than complete one of the Business or Technology degrees with an IT focus.

I started with an AA and completed my BS in 4 months. I did not go with a CS concentration or anything like that - I went with an Individualized Studies program where you kind of build your own "major". It is much more flexible and allows for a lot more electives and flexibility. I did like working with them the best. They were friendly and helpful and answered tons of questions before I even enrolled.

As far as graduate programs, I got into Touro University International and completed my MS-ITM and was also accepted into California State University - DH but never took classes and University of Florida's certificate program and later accepted into their MS in Pharmacy / Healthcare Risk Management program (Risk management degree awarded by the school of pharmacy - not a program to be a pharmacist)

    Hope that helps.
