If an eMBA was earned from an AACSB school, is that the same as an AACSB MBA? Would you list eMBA on a resume or MBA? Is there really a difference? In the academic world (to teach) is there a difference?
If I recall correctly, Duke's Fuqua MBA program actually has three tracks, one of which is kind of like an eMBA geared for senior managers with lots of experience. Upon graduation, however, all students receive the same MBA diploma and degree. I know some other schools do that as well so I think it would depend on the school where you graduated from. If a school's eMBA program awards the same diploma and degree as their traditional MBA program, I'd list it as an MBA.
From my experiences, eMBA is more for networking rather than academic. The admission criteria are for more senior management levels. The main differences is the cost, eMBA tends to be far more expensive and also the catered food is much better than for MBA!
Regardless of the sugary marketing coating, the degree itself is still a "Master of Business Administration", isn't it? I'd simply say that. -=Steve=-
